Our role in EXD - Extra Dimensional
For Lord of Illusion's title EXD - Extra Dimensional, we transformed the main characters modeled by Andrea Navicella into VR game-ready assets. Through meticulous polygon optimization, UV mapping, and texturing led by our Lead Artist Simone Martolini, we ensured peak performance in virtual reality while fully preserving the extraordinary realism requested by the client to ensure a seamless, fully immersive experience.

UV atlasing
UV Atlasing is the process of packing the UV maps of multiple separate 3D objects (or various parts of a complex model) into a single, unified 2D coordinate space.

Texture Atlasing
Texture Atlasing is an optimization technique where multiple single textures used by different 3D objects (or different parts of the same object) are combined into a single, large master image called a Texture Atlas.

Rigging Weights Re-Skin
Weight Re-Skinning (often called re-weighting or transferring skin weights) is the process of modifying or transferring how much influence specific bones in a rig have over the vertices of a 3D mesh.

Fix Cloth Simulation
We created a proxy mesh instead of using the asset's original meshes and adjusted the weights for a more accurate, smoother, and more optimized clothing simulation.
